Bridgette Windham, a 21-year-old marketing major, hopes to see actors Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie among other celebrities this summer while interning in France at the Cannes Film Festival. The Birmingham native was selected as one of 30 U.S. students to participate in the Creative Minds in Cannes Internship Experience.
Windham heard about the opportunity on Facebook and was thrilled when she was accepted. She will get her work assignment May 8 when her two-week internship begins. The president of this year’s film jury is actor Robert De Niro, Windham was told, and director Woody Allen will screen his movie “Midnight in Paris.”
