2017 Alabama Money Expo to be held May 20 at UAB

money expo 2017On Saturday, May 20, the UAB Regions Institute for Financial Education will host the 4th annual Alabama Money Expo at the Hill Student Center.

The free event, which is geared toward helping community members secure a healthy financial future, offers participants the latest information on financial matters, including college loans, taxes, investments and retirement planning.

Workshops include:

  • Estate planning
  • Retirement planning
  • Financial planning
  • Credit management
  • Social security
  • The real cost of aging
  • Investing wisely
  • Identity theft
  • Home ownership, and more
One-on-one consultations will also be available to participants who would like to discuss individual circumstances in the areas of careers and resumes, budget and credit, financial planning and home counseling.

Workshops will begin at 8:30 a.m. following registration, and the expo will conclude after a 12:45 p.m. prize giveaway session.
