The University of Alabama System Board of Trustees appointed David B. Allison, Ph.D., to the Quetelet Endowed Professorship in Public Health in the UAB School of Public Health during its meeting Feb. 3, 2012.
Allison was recruited to UAB in 2001 and founded the Section on Statistical Genetics in the Department of Biostatistics the same year. In 2011, he was appointed the school’s associate dean for science and named the Distinguished Faculty Lecturer.
