The University of Alabama System Board of Trustees appointed Ollie S. Powers an associate professor emeritus in the UAB Collat School of Business during its meeting Feb. 3, 2012. Powers, who retired in December 2011, began his academic career at UAB in 1976 and was awarded the President’s Award for Excellence in Teaching in 1991.
Powers was named an associate professor emeritus in business.
