J. Michael Wyss, Ph.D., director of the UAB Center for Outreach Research Development and professor of cell biology, cardiology, medicine, neurobiology and psychology, has been awarded the Wright A. Gardner Award, the highest honor presented by the Alabama Academy of Science.
AAS was established in 1984 to honor outstanding work in Alabama. Wright A. Gardner, a progressive scientist and educator, was its principal founder and first president.
