Mönkemüller named co-chair for the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy meeting

Klaus Mönkemüller, M.D., Ph.D., FASGE, professor in the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology and director of the Basil I. Hirschowitz Endoscopic Center of Excellence at UAB, has been named co-chair for the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy’s congress Quality in Endoscopy: IBD and Small Bowel Disease. The meeting will be held in Budapest, Hungary, in November 2013.

Mönkemüller, a world-renowned therapeutic and advanced endoscopist, is invited regularly to participate and teach at live endoscopy meetings, and he has been a front-runner on quality in endoscopy. Mönkemüller and his colleagues at UAB focus on delivering top quality endoscopy to patients.
