UAB earns Women’s Choice Award for “Best Hospital” designation for eight areas

The University of Alabama at Birmingham has received eight 2024 Women’s Choice Awards designations for women’s health practice areas.

Best hospital designations were awarded based on the hospital’s outstanding achievement in clinical excellence and patient experience and satisfaction. By appearing on the Best Hospitals list, these UAB Medicine clinical areas are considered to represent the top 10 percent of hospital practices across the country.

UAB received the America’s Best Hospital designation in the following areas:

The Women’s Choice Award is an independent referral source for women, aiming to empower women to make better health care choices.  

In determining its Best Hospitals list, Women’s Choice Award uses the most recent publicly available information from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, as well as accreditation information and surveys from thousands of women to determine which measures are most important to them.
