UAB medical students will step away from their studies for one night to present “The Best Medicine Show,” an evening of song, dance, theatre, film and other artistic expression from medical students at the UAB School of Medicine. The show is a fundraiser for Equal Access Birmingham, a medical student group that provides free medical screenings for the underserved and maintains a free medical clinic.
The show is at 7 p.m. Friday, Mar. 2, 2011, at the historic Alabama Theater. Advance tickets are $5 for students/ $10 for the general public and $8 for students/ $12 for the general public at the door. This is the second year for the event.
Proceeds from the event will go to expanding the organization’s free health clinic.
