Klaus Mönkemüller, M.D., Ph.D., professor in the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology and director of the Basil I. Hirschowitz Endoscopic Center of Excellence at UAB, has been named the best peer reviewer of the journal Gastrointestinal Endoscopy for the third consecutive year.
Mönkemüller is an innovator and pioneer in gastrointestinal endoscopy and is a member of editorial boards for several top journals, including Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Endoscopy, Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology, World Journal of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Video Journal of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the Scandinavian Journal of Gastroenterology.
