The newest mural, titled “Flourish,” was designed and painted by students and features a lush growth of green leaves, painted inside a pedestrian bridge over University Boulevard.
The winning entries will be displayed in the Global Eye Exhibition, which opens Friday, April 21, in the new UAB INTO space located in the Sterne Library.

Mervyn Sterne Library Director Jerry Stephens, Ph.D., announced he will retire May 31. Stephens, who first joined the library in 1974 when it was a part of the former University College, is only the second director for UAB's main academic library. A national search for dean of libraries is underway.
