The University of Alabama System Board of Trustees appointed Will York, MFA, to professor and chair emeritus in the Department of Theatre in the UAB College of Arts and Sciences during its meeting April 8, 2011. York received his Master of Fine Arts degree from Ohio University and joined the UAB faculty in 1999. He was named chair of the UAB Department of Theatre in 2006.
