The University of Alabama System Board of Trustees named Yoshimi Saito, Ph.D., professor emeritus in the UAB College of Arts and Sciences during its meeting Nov. 3, 2011.
Saito began his career at UAB as a visiting professor in 1983. He served as co-director of UAB International Conference on Differential Equations and Mathematical Physics in 1986 and 1990.
