The University of Alabama System Board of Trustees appointed George Neal Kay, M.D., professor emeritus at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) during its meeting Feb. 8, 2013.
Kay completed his postgraduate training at UAB while serving as chief resident and returned to the faculty in 1986. He has held several administrative positions at UAB, including director of the Clinical Electrophysiology Section within the Division of Cardiovascular Disease.
