Spain Rehab fundraiser for handicap-accessible van

The dinner event will raise funds for a new handicap-accessible van.

The Women’s Committee of UAB’s Spain Rehabilitation Center will host an “Evening on the Veranda” to raise funds for a  much-needed new handicap-accessible van for patient transport. The event will also be a tribute to former Spain rehab patient Wilmer Poyner, a long-time Birmingham business executive.

The “Evening on the Veranda” will be held Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, with cocktails at 6:30 p.m. and dinner at 7:30 p.m. Parking and shuttle service from Mountain Brook Presbyterian Church will be provided. For more information, contact Cathy Newhouse at 205-934-4999 or cnewhous@uabmc.edu.
