The University of Alabama System Board of Trustees approved the Master of Arts in Education Degree in Reading to be offered by the UAB School of Education in the College of Arts and Sciences during its meeting April 8, 2011. Previously, the curriculum had only been offered as a certificate program, which will continue to be offered.
