UAB Collat School of Business sales program recognized nationally

The 2013 Top University Sales Programs award recognizes schools that are preparing students for professional sales careers.

The University of Alabama at Birmingham Collat School of Business has been named one of the top sales programs in the nation by the Sales Education Foundation (SEF). The 2013 Top University Sales Programs award recognizes those that are “preparing students for professional sales careers and placing top talent in professional selling roles.”

The UAB Collat School of Business sales program is home to the UAB Center for Sales Leadership which is led by faculty members John Hansen, Ph.D., and Ken Miller, Ed.D. The UAB Center for Sales Leadership, established in 2006 and located in the School of Business, provides a Professional Sales Certificate program that is open to any major. This selective program, which chooses approximately 20 students every year out of roughly 50 applicants, is designed to provide advanced business-to-business sales skills and teach the latest tools and trends in professional selling.

Most recently, the certificate program produced two of the top three finishers at the Pi Sigma Epsilon South/West Regional Conference. The competition featured 19 students from 11 universities.
