UAB will open its drop-in study program beginning Aug. 31 at The Hilton at UAB for children of university faculty, staff and students. The program will provide a safe, supervised site for children in grades K-8 to school assignments or activities provided by their parents. It is one of several child-care options UAB is providing for employees with school-age children.

Parents will pay a nominal fee, $15 per child per session, to help defray operational expenses; financial assistance may be available based on income. Two sessions will be offered each day, 8-11:30 a.m. and 12:30-4 p.m. Children may attend up to three sessions per week but are limited to one per day. Parents are expected to provide masks and devices or other study materials for their children, who may arrive or leave any time during a confirmed session.

Register online at uabyouthdropin.splashthat.com. Payment and a signed liability waiver are required before your child’s reservation is complete.
