The rapid growth of UAB's research expenditures — from $429 million in FY14 to $780 million in FY23 — has allowed us to improve and save more lives than ever at home and around the world. In a town hall in March of 2024, senior leaders from UAB and Huron Consulting Group/Urban Impact Advisors shared the planning that shaped the Research Strategic Initiative: Growth with Purpose, including key priorities for immediate action and next steps. At the town hall meeting for March 19, 2025, President Ray Watts and other senior leaders will share the progress made in the first year and the plans for moving forward.
