Everything you need to know about UAB Football gamedays this fall

gameday 2020 info streamAs UAB Football prepares to take on Central Arkansas during the season opener 7 p.m. Thursday, Blazers should remember both familiar guidelines and new protocols for safety in Legion Field this season.

COVID-19 precautions, including masking and social distancing, will be required.

Masks are required at all times per state and county ordinance, and UAB Athletics re-allocated tickets for all season ticket-holders to allow for social distancing. Tickets will be delivered via the new mobile ticket delivery process.

The Club Level, including the Champion and Blazer clubs, will operate at 50% occupancy with overflow space available, which also will feature premium amenities. Private suites also will be limited to 50% capacity.

Concession stands will remain open for food and beverage purchases.

To promote safety among fans, neither formal tailgating nor pre-game activities within Blazer Village will be permitted at Legion Field during the 2020 season.

No gameday shuttles will be available.

Complimentary Blazer Express fan shuttle services from Express Lot No. 4 and the Hill Student Center will not be available for the 2020 season.

Single-game parking passes are still for sale.

On gameday, single-game parking is available on Legion Field’s east side for $8, cash only. Passes also can be purchased online beforehand. Contact the UAB Athletics ticket office for available season parking options.

No tailgating will be permitted.

Students will enter Legion Field through gates 6 and 5B. All gates open 90 minutes prior to kickoff, and a valid ONECard is required for student access. Parking in the former student tailgate lot is available free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis to students with their ONECard, and additional student parking also will be available on the east side of Legion Field.

Clear bags are still required.

Only one-gallon plastic freezer bags and certain sizes of clear plastic bags will be admitted into UAB Football games at Legion Field.
