Respiratory therapists, who treat breathing or airway problems from a variety of conditions, have proven crucial for the treatment of COVID-19, a respiratory disease.

Respiratory therapists and other essential employees such as nurses, radiologic technologists and more are necessary for the efficient operation of UAB Hospital and UAB’s outpatient facilities. UAB Medicine currently is hiring for a variety of essential medical specialties and support services; a list of available essential jobs and information on applying for a career at UAB Medicine can be found online.
