Researchers at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) are conducting a study to better understand brain responses in people with functional seizures.
Participants will complete a screening call and one in-person study visit lasting up to 4 hours. The visit includes questionnaires, a blood draw, and a functional MRI (fMRI) brain scan while completing computer-based tasks.
Eligible participants must be adults diagnosed with functional seizures (PNES). Participants with certain neurological conditions, metal implants, claustrophobia, epilepsy, or pregnancy may not qualify.
Participants will be compensated $150 for completing the study visit.
