Are you interested in participating in brain imaging research?
Researchers at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) are conducting a study to better understand brain responses in adults. Healthy volunteers are needed to participate.
Participants will complete a screening call and one in-person study visit lasting up to 4 hours. The visit includes questionnaires, a blood draw, and a functional MRI (fMRI) brain scan while completing computer-based tasks. Participants will also be asked to wear a sleep monitoring watch and complete brief daily sleep diaries for up to 2 weeks before the study visit.
Eligible participants must be adults without a history of functional seizures (PNES). Participants with certain neurological conditions, metal implants, claustrophobia, epilepsy, or pregnancy may not qualify.
Participants will be compensated $150 after completing the study visit and returning the sleep-monitoring device.
