Are you an adult 18 years and over and taking medication for high blood pressure? Join the IDH-MEGA study. The goal of this study is to learn what is the best approach for measuring blood pressure for the diagnosis and management of hypertension.
In this study, you will wear a blood pressure monitor for 24 hours and take home blood pressures with the same monitor for 7 days. At the end of the study we will collect laboratory samples and you will have an echocardiogram (ultrasound of your heart). You will not receive any medications or have to stop taking your medications to participate in the study.
You will not be eligible to participate if you have any heart rhythm abnormalities such as atrial fibrillation. You also will not be eligible if you are pregnant or have had any changes to your medications in the past 2 weeks, or you are a shift worker.
You will be compensated for your time.
