UAB School of Medicine alum and former U.S. Surgeon General Regina Benjamin, M.D., is among many who will discuss new approaches and successful models of current health-disparities research during UAB’s annual symposium.

March 18  Thank a teacher

Twelve faculty will be honored with the President’s Award for Excellence in Teaching during the annual Faculty Awards Convocation 4 p.m. March 18 in the UAB National Alumni Society House.

March 19 Plan ahead

Find a part-time job for summer during the Career Fair 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Campus Rec Center. Students and alumni should review the 50 participating companies online or using the Career Fair+ App available from the App Store and Google Play and plan to attend.

Fourth-year medical students will learn their residency assignments during the annual Match Day celebration at 11 a .m. March 20 in the Alabama Theater. The ceremony will be streamed live at www.uab.edu/matchday.
