4 degrees granted final approval by Board of Trustees

bot honor seal STREAMThe University of Alabama System Board of Trustees granted final approval of a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in neuroengineering at UAB during its June 4 meeting. This is believed to be the first such degree in the country.

The board also granted final approval of a Master of Science (M.S.) in Higher Education Administration, a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master of Science (M.S.) in Interdisciplinary Studies.

During the meeting, the board granted approval for the establishment of a research track within the Master of Science in Health Informatics (MSHI) Program and permission to submit to the Alabama Commission on Higher Education (ACHE). No other four-year universities in the state offer such a track.
