Hospital fundraiser to benefit patient, family services

auxiliary streamShop the latest trends in apparel, fragrances, watches, electronics and name-brand handbags during the UAB Hospital Auxiliary Fundraiser Aug. 20-24. A portion of proceeds will benefit ongoing service work in UAB Hospital — the mission of the UAB Hospital Auxiliary since its formation in 1949. Projects include sponsoring meal tickets for patient families, supporting UAB Pastoral Care and providing scholarships for current UAB employees enrolled in the UAB School of Nursing.

The fundraiser will be open 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Aug. 20 in the Avondale Administration Building Atrium at 720 39th St. North , 7 a.m.-4 p.m. Aug. 21-23 in the UAB Hospital West Pavilion Atrium and 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Aug. 24 in UAB Hospital-Highlands.

Payroll deduction will available for all full-time and part-time regular UAB, UAB Health System and University of Alabama Health Services Foundation employees. Cash and credit cards also will be accepted.
