Employees who are members of the Campus Recreation Center can use a new app to make their health journeys easier.

The multi-functional UAB Campus Recreation* app, available for available for iPhone and Android, gives users access to the facility without needing their OneCard or key fob and allows them to see fitness schedules, set class reminders, register for programs and services, check reservations and update credit cards on file.

It also lets users see schedules and information for Adventure Recreation trips, swim and fitness classes and offers for certifications, all with the option to add various items and events to personal calendar apps.

“With the new UAB Campus Recreation app, members can do things such as register and pay for programs including swim school, certifications and Adventure Recreation trips. It also will let us notify our members about things like UFit schedule changes, operating hours during holidays and any other important information,” said Henry Knejfl, coordinator of membership and guest services for the Department of Campus Recreation.

Download the new Campus Recreation* app in the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.

To log in to the app, employees will need their OLS username, which is different from a BlazerID and can be retrieved by calling Campus Recreation Membership Services at 205-996-5038, emailing recmember@uab.edu or stopping by the Campus Recreation information desk on their next visit.

This new app replaces an older UAB Campus Recreation app, which sports the same name and a green logo design and is in the process of being removed from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, Knejfl said. The new app is designated by an asterisk (*) and a white logo.
