Ease your mind during the Mental Health Resource Fair

Mental health 492x369UAB employees and members of their household can meet one-on-one with mental health providers from UAB and the Birmingham metro area during the Mental Health Resource Fair 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 11 in the North Pavilion first floor atrium.

Get answers to questions about community resources and services including Hand in Paw, UAB Arts in Medicine, Impact Family Counseling, Addiction Prevention Coalition and more. Food trucks will be parked at the North Pavilion first floor entrance, and attendees will have chances to win UAB swag and other prizes throughout the event.

“Even if you think to yourself, no I don't need resources, you may have a friend or family member who might benefit from the information that will be available,” said Tami Mayes Long, director of UAB’s Employee Assistance & Counseling Center, which sponsors the event. “Do not let the stigma of mental illness prevent you or your loved one from receiving the assistance they need.”
