Apply by May 30 for a fellowship to promote service-learning

service learningUAB's Faculty Fellows in Engaged Scholarship program is open to all faculty involved in undergraduate teaching, with priority given to courses taught by faculty who are new or marginally experienced with service-learning.

This program provides a one-year fellowship — structured around a year-long series of workshops — to help faculty design a new course or to modify an existing course to include a service-learning component.

The workshops explore theories, implementation and assessment of academic service-learning and ways to integrate this into courses across the disciplines.
