You may be eligible to participate in a research study about the effects of Exercise and Metoprolol (a blood pressure pill) on a protein in your blood. This protein is related to heart disease. Eligible participants must be Healthy men and women, African American or Caucasians, and have no history of diabetes, heart problems, or kidney problems. The study involves performing the exercise, taking metoprolol, consuming prepared meals, and collecting blood samples. Participants will be compensated $350 for completing the study visits. We are recruiting 9th grade Black males for a new study that is focusing on film viewing and academic functioning. The project involves viewing 4 films and completing 3 surveys with the ability to make up to $70 dollars for participating. Eligible participants must be healthy men and women, African American, and have no history of diabetes, heart problems, or kidney problems. The study involves performing some exercise, taking sacubitril/valsartan, and collecting blood samples. Participants will be compensated.
