Advancing Health and Wellness in Adults or Children with Disabilities
CEDHARS invites faculty to apply for pilot and feasibility study funding. $35,000 of funding for one year is available to five research projects aimed at advancing innovative research to improve the health and well-being of adults and children with disabilities. Interested applicants should submit a proposal by March 27, 2026.

SEBLAB Research Pilot Grant
The Southeastern Biosafety Laboratory Alabama Birmingham (SEBLAB) Research Pilot Grant seeks to foster innovative research on Risk Group-3 pathogens that require Biosafety Level-3 containment. Full-time faculty are invited to apply for one of three $25,000 awards. Letters of interest are due April 1, 2026.

NRTC/Division of Nephrology MPI Pilot Award Program
The UAB Nephrology Research and Training Center (NRTC) and the Division of Nephrology invite faculty to apply for pilot funding for multi-investigator collaborations in research in kidney-related diseases. Up to $40,000 per year in project-related direct costs can be requested for the proposal. Interested faculty should submit a letter of intent by April 3, 2026.

Gregory Fleming James Cystic Fibrosis Research Center
The University of Alabama at Birmingham Gregory Fleming James Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Research Center is soliciting applications for Pilot and Feasibility Projects. The Center will fund up to two meritorious pilot projects through the CF Foundation (CFF) Research and Development Program, with up to $75,000 in direct costs awarded per year for each pilot, for up to 2 years. The pilots are renewable for a second year contingent upon a favorable progress review. Awardees will be expected to provide milestone reports on progress as well as present their pilot activities as part of the Cystic Fibrosis Research Center's Seminar Series.
