KatieKatie is a doctoral student in the Rehabilitation Science Program at UAB. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Linfield College and her Master’s Degree in Exercise Science from Central Washington University. She also had the privilege of working as a fitness specialist at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon. Her primary research interest is exploring the impact of restless legs syndrome (RLS) and developing physical rehabilitation techniques to manage the symptoms of RLS in chronic neurological disorders, such as multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease. In her spare time, she enjoys being in the great outdoors, running, hiking, and spending time with her husband, friends, and family.
