Molly Miller, Catherine McCarty, and Ruku Machiwalla (pictured, right), three second-year students in the School of Health Professions’ Physician Assistant Studies Program, screened dozens of Birmingham-area children as part of a Sight Savers America (SSA) event in Hoover on January 25, 2019.

On December 13, 2018, the UAB School of Health Professions Physician Assistant Studies program hosted the annual Honors Convocation where they delivered the Director’s Award, Preceptor of the Year Award, SHP Charles Brooks Award for Creativity, and recognized the top graduates from the Class of 2018.

Asia Sullivan, PA-S, is the first graduate of UAB’s M.S. in Physician Assistant Studies and M.S. Public Health dual degree program. The Castleberry, Alabama, native will participate in the School of Health Professions Graduate Professional Programs Hooding Ceremony and the UAB Graduate Commencement Ceremony on Friday, December 14, 2018.

Mary King is a member of the first cohort of the UAB Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and Master of Public Health (MSPAS/MPH) dual degree program.
