The Department of Occupational Therapy is currently working to transition its entry-level Master of Science degree to an entry-level Clinical Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (OTD). We have been planning this transition for several years and have received full approval by the School of Health Professions, UAB and the Alabama Commission on Higher Education.

The first entry level doctoral degree will begin coursework in Summer 2021 and graduate in December 2023 with a Clinical Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (OTD). The application cycle for this cohort will open in July 2020. Applicants need to be aware that all applications are submitted through OTCAS and must be verified by October 1, 2020.
