On December 17, COVID-19 Vaccine simulations were hosted in the Margaret Cameron Spain Auditorium and at UAB Highlands. The purpose of the simulations was to test the process and the flow of UAB Heath System and local area hospital employees receiving the COVID-19 vaccine at UAB. Participants went through a simulated vaccination process that included: site entry, well check and queue, triage and registration, vaccination administration, a 15 minute site holding area, and site exit. This allowed testing of the flow and each process in administering the vaccine. The simulations were successful and we were able to gather much feedback and operational opportunities.
