The Kansas City Healthcare Simulation Conference, hosted by Johnson County Community College, the University of Kansas, and the Kansas City Regional Simulation Alliance, was held on September 21st. The conference has featured world renowned speakers in the past such as Jenny Rudolph, Adam Cheng, Betsy Hunt, and Amiti Ziv. This year, eight members from OIPS traveled to Kansas to deliver breakout sessions and workshops for the conference marking the first time the conference has featured a simulation team instead of an individual. Sessions included content related to debriefing, the role of the ESP, technical enhancements, procedural simulation, TeamSTEPPS®, in situ simulation, operations basics, and administration basics.
