Q. Why did you choose to attend UAB?
I decided to come to UAB because it was one of the few places where I could be on the track team and be involved in other organizations that I’m interested. I knew at UAB, I’d be able to get the experience I wanted in and out of the classroom.

Q. Who is the best professor that you have had at UAB so far (and why)?
Dr. Jessica Chambliss is the professor I’ve had so far. I took two of her classes during the beginning of the pandemic, and she adapted in a way that made it obvious that she not only cared about us learning the information, but she also cared about us as people, and she taught the class in a way that made a topic that I wasn’t necessarily as excited about interesting.

Q. What is your favorite UAB memory?
My friends and I throughout my time here at UAB try to get dinner together one night a week, and my favorite nights were when we’d spend hours at The Den just spending time together.

Q. How has UAB impacted your life?
UAB has obviously given me a lot of skills and knowledge, but I think the aspect of UAB that’s most impacted my life are the people. I’ve met so many people who have different experiences and cultures than I do, and having so many different perspectives around me has challenged me to expand my thinking and view on the world.

Q. If you were on a plane beside your favorite celebrity, what would you do?

Today is where your book begins, the rest is still unwritten (Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield)
