Position description and duties:
Under the supervision of Dr. Van Nghiem and Dr. Andrzej Kulczycki, this person will assist with the conduct of different aspects of a literature review that will contribute to the development of the data collection tools for our cervical cancer screening project in Alabama.
Duration: about 12 weeks starting mid or end of October
Standard hourly rate: $15/hour for ~20 hours/week
Responsibilities include:
- Conduct literature search on relevant topics on PUBMED and other relevant electronic databases
- Help with the review and critique of relevant literature on cervical cancer screening
- Help manage relevant data abstraction for the varies studies reviewed
- Help organize the data collection tools for a community-based cervical cancer screening project in Alabama
- No travel required
- No patient contact required
Required qualifications:
- An interest in studying and conducting research in public health, women’s health
- Experience in conducting literature searches with PubMed or any other scientific search engines (e.g., Web of Science, EMBASE); or a willingness and a good aptitude in learning this skill
- Detail-oriented
- Good writing skills
