Ritika Samant, a first-year student in the Heersink School of Medicine, received the 2023 President’s Award for Excellence in Support of UAB and Shared Governance.
Samant served as president of the Undergraduate Student Government Association at UAB in 2022–2023. She graduated in spring 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience and a Master of Public Health degree from the Fast Track MPH Program in the School of Public Health.
