Failure to do so could result in my immediate dismissal, and in cases where my actions violate the UAB Student Code of Conduct and/or the laws of the State of Alabama and/or the United States, I may be referred to the Office of Community and Ethical Standards and/or the appropriate law enforcement agency. UAB Student Media Grade Release I hereby acknowledge that I understand that my grade point average will be released periodically by UAB to the Director of Student Media for the purpose of ensuring that a 2.0 cumulative GPA (2.5 cumulative GPA for senior staff/paid positions) is maintained in order to participate in my organization(s). I understand that this information will be treated as confidential by the Director. In the event that my GPA should fall below the level required for participation or compensation, I understand that the Director will notify both myself and my Editor/General Manager that I am ineligible for participation or compensation, but will not share my exact GPA with said Editor/General Manager. I further understand that if I should ever become ineligible for participation for GPA-related reasons, I will be eligible for reinstatement by my organization(s) if/when I achieve a cumulative GPA of 2.0 (2.5 for senior staff/paid positions).

UAB Student Media Digital Archive Policy UAB Student Media’s Online Archive Policy outlines the following with regard to author requests to remove content from Student Media’s Web sites and online archives: “If the author of content originally published/released during the school year or earlier requests removal of that content from the organization’s Web site/online archive, the request for outright removal will be refused, but the item will be modified to replace the author’s name with the phrase ‘Name removed by author’s request.’

The disposition of all ‘unpublishing’ requests not enumerated above will be at the discretion of the Editor or General Manager of the organization in question.”
