We understand you may have questions regarding parking fees for this semester – and any possible refunds. When an unprecedented and quickly evolving disruptive event occurs, it can be difficult to have all the answers right away. Going to online/alternate learning and limited business operations due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is an example.

Please visit uab.edu/coronavirus/students for an update regarding Financial Affairs resources, including possible refunds.

University Blvd Parking Deck EntranceAs a result of UAB’s ongoing emergency response to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, and the need for hospital employees to have easier access to their work location, UAB Transportation is temporarily reassigning Express Lot 4 parkers to decks closer to the hospital. This will go into effect tomorrow, Thursday, March 19.

In coordination with university efforts to flatten the curve of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic through social distancing and online/alternative instruction, Summer and 2020-21 Academic Year student parking permit sales have been postponed until further notice.
We will post an announcement on the new permit availability date in advance of the new date. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter at @uabtransport for updates.

Please stay up-to-date on the latest information from UAB at www.uab.edu/coronavirus.

200311 Graphics StudentPermitslow2 02Parking permits for the summer semester and the 2020-21 academic year will be available for purchase beginning April 1st. You can find a full list of permit options, as well as pricing, on the Student Rates page.

The rates are increasing this year, in line with the comprehensive transportation plan created in 2016. The plan was created to manage existing and future demand, create a more fiscally sustainable transportation system and improve customer service for the entire enterprise – UAB and UAB Medicine – that is compatible with the campus master plan.
