Campaign for UAB Logo

Transformative. Illuminating. Promoting lifelong learning. These are but a few of the ways the Department of Art and Art History enriches the lives of our students, faculty, the Birmingham community and beyond. The Department of Art and Art History (DAAH) at UAB has the support of an urban cultural arts district built upon the foundation and support of our alumni, foundations, community partners, and Friends of the Art and Art History Department.

Donors to the Department of Art and Art History help provide a transformational experience of the arts unlike any other institution. With premier facilities, interdisciplinary connections, committed faculty, and outstanding community partnerships that provide unique experiential-based learning for students, the Department of Art and Art History is steadily evolving to be among the best art and art history departments in the Southeast.

Gifts to the Department of Art and Art History will help build and sustain an extraordinary training ground for artists across media and the scholars and thinkers who examine, interpret, and advance their work. The generous support of many has helped make UAB’s Department of Art and Art History the vibrant source of art, inspiration, and culture it is today.

The DAAH is excited to participate in the largest and most comprehensive campaign in UAB's history. The Campaign for UAB: Give Something, Change Everything will have a scope and impact that will extend well beyond our campus and has the potential to create long-lasting, positive change.
