Announcing: M.A. In Cultural Heritage Studies

UAB’s Cultural Heritage Studies program—the only professional degree of its kind in the state of Alabama—provides students with an understanding of the relationship between culture, knowledge, and power. The program prepares students to understand, interpret, and promote a broad range of cultural activities, with an emphasis on art and architecture. Students train in heritage interpretation and outreach, promoting community engagement in the process. They develop skills and values pertinent to public history, digital history, museum studies, cultural resource management, and heritage tourism.
