I got exactly what I thought I would from the program and then some. Like my military background, CEM is about discipline, learning, and work ethic, which forced me to be diligent and non-complacent. I am very excited about my future and career opportunities.

Application Deadlines

  • Fall Admission: August 1

  • Summer Admission: April 1

Admission requirements for the Master's of Engineering with a concentration in Construction Engineering Management (CEM) are:

Minimum Score

TOEFL: 80†

IELTS: 6.5

PTEA: 53

IELA: 176

Duolingo: 120

Note: † UAB does not accept My Best Scores from TOEFL. You will need to submit individual test date score reports to your application.

  • Two years of relevant construction industry work experience or a bachelor’s in engineering or a science-related field.
