Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services (ADRS)
ADRS provides individualized services to assist every person with a disability in achieving his or her maximum potential at home, school, workplace, and in the community

Alabama Disabilities Advocacy Program (ADAP)
ADAP is part of the nationwide federally mandated protection and advocacy (P&A) system. ADAP's mission is to provide quality, legally based advocacy services to Alabamians with disabilities in order to protect, promote and expand their rights. ADAP's vision is one of a society where persons with disabilities are valued and exercise self-determination through meaningful choices, and have equality of opportunity.

Alabama Head Injury Foundation (AHIF)
In addition to traumatic brain injury, AHIF offers SCI support services for professionals and families.

Alabama Work Incentives Network (ALA-WIN)
ALA-WIN helps Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) beneficiaries, between the ages of 14 and full retirement age, understand their work options so that they may make more informed choices regarding employment.

Disability Rights and Resources’ mission is to empower people with disabilities to fully participate in the community. We encourage people with disabilities to support one another in reaching their own independent living goals. We also promote equal access and disability rights through advocacy and public awareness activities.

Governor's Office on Disability (GOOD)
GOOD's mission is to facilitate the inclusion of Alabamians with disabilities in education, employment, housing, transportation, health care, and leisure.

Health InfoNet of Alabama
Health InfoNet is a consumer health information service for the residents of Alabama. Connects people with local Support groups along with local and national medical and social service organizations. It also provides information on diseases and medical conditions along with easy to read sources of medical information.

Independent Living Center of Mobile
Fosters and promotes programs which empower persons with disabilities to attain their maximum degree of independence.

Injury Control Research Center (ICRC)
ICRC aims "to help the nation achieve an accelerated reduction in injury-related morbidity, mortality and disability." Target populations include children, women, the elderly, motor vehicle operators and passengers, residents of rural communities, and African-Americans (especially inner city youth).

Lakeshore Foundation
Lakeshore Foundation is a non-profit 501c3 organization that promotes independence for persons with physically disabling conditions and provides opportunities to pursue active, healthy lifestyles.  Lakeshore Foundation offers a wide range of fitness, recreation, athletic and education programs to children and adults who experience diagnostic conditions including spinal cord injuries, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, stroke, amputation, and visual impairment.  The Foundation also serves persons who have been diagnosed with arthritis, diabetes, chronic pain, cardiac conditions, and many other related disorders.

Technology Assistance for Special Consumers (TASC)

TASK provides individuals with disabilities, their families and/or advocates, and associated professionals access to assistive technology devices and services to increase independence at home, school, and work.
