There are seven categorical positions, including one Cardiac 4/3 position, and one military match position in the general surgery residency program each year. We do not consider preliminary residents for categorical PGY-1 positions. All applications are made through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) of the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). For the 2023-2024 ERAS® cycle, our program is participating in program signaling. Applicants will be required to complete the MyERAS application, and participation in program signaling is optional.

Complete applications must be submitted on or before Oct. 2, 2023, to be considered. Applications are reviewed and interview invitations are offered via email. Our program will send out the first round of interview offers from Thursday, Oct. 26 – Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2023, per the recommendations of the APDS. Interviews will be virtual for the 2023-2024 Match Season.
