The Division of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery is pleased to announce two faculty members in new UAB Hospital organizational leadership roles.

Associate Professor Rondi Gelbard, M.D., FACS, has been selected as the new Medical Director for Surgery / Surgical Critical Care (the SICU, PACU, and TBICU).

Assistant Professor Sabrina Goddard, M.D. has been selected as the Medical Director for Trauma Surgery.

Both appointments have been made through the quality structure of the Chief Medical Officer, Kierstin Kennedy, M.D., MSHA, FACP, SFHMKierstin Kennedy, M.D., MSHA, FACP, SFHM.

In these roles, Gelbard and Goddard will report to Associate Chief Medical Officer Daniel Cox, M.D., who was appointed as an ACMO in August.
