Students in the School of Health Professions enjoy benefits of a world-class university and training in some one-of-a-kind and award winning programs.

The Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education requires that programs display the cost of attendance for OT programs, which includes current tuition and fees, as well as the total cost of attending and completing the occupational therapy program (ACOTE Standard A.4.4).

Our tuition and fee information is subject to change and the following information is only a guideline for estimating costs.

Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (Entry-Level)

The UAB Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSOT) consists of 107 credit hours (which includes two 12-week fieldwork experiences) and is normally completed in seven semesters (approx. 28 months).

For 2022 to 2023, tuition and fees are projected to be:

First-Year Students  $30,110  $70,450
Second-Year Students  $27,100  $63,490
Third-Year Students  $5,950  $13,900

The total cost for the MSOT program is estimated to be $65,400 for Alabama residents and $149,980 for non-residents. In addition to tuition and fees, the total cost of attendance above includes additional costs that students must also be prepared to pay. This includes, but is not limited to books and supplies, CPR Training, Background Checks and Drug Screening, Uniform, Graduation, professional association membership and fieldwork related costs.

Scholarships

The School of Health Professions offers scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students. Current School of Health Professions students will need to submit an application through B-SMART to be considered for any scholarships - including university-wide scholarships.
