Orlando M. Gutiérrez, MD, MMSc, Director and contact multiple principal investigator of the Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCTS), has joined the Association for Clinical and Translational Science (ACTS) Board of Directors as a Director at Large for 2026–2027.
ACTS announced its new leadership during Translational Science 2026, welcoming Gutiérrez and fellow Directors at Large Elizabeth Burner, MD, MPH, PhD; Vanessa Jacoby, MD, MAS; and Jareen Meinzen-Derr, PhD, MPH, FACE. The ACTS Board of Directors provides strategic guidance and governance for the association, which supports professionals across the clinical and translational science field. Gutiérrez also serves as Board Liaison for the ACTS Communications Committee.
The CCTS also thanks Nita A. Limdi, PharmD, PhD, MSPH, FAHA, Director of the CCTS Training Academy, for her service on the ACTS Board of Directors. Limdi completed her board service as part of the 2026 leadership transition, continuing a strong record of national leadership and service in clinical and translational science. ACTS also recently recognized Limdi as one of four CCTS leaders inducted into the inaugural Fellows of ACTS cohort.
Through these leadership roles, CCTS faculty and staff continue to contribute to national conversations shaping clinical and translational science, workforce development, and research support across the CTSA consortium. Read more about ACTS leadership and the 2026–2027 Board of Directors.
