Description:   We offer (through the two providers listed below), unbiased relative quantitative analysis of any biological specimen for a wide array of polar and non-polar metabolites. This is a hypothesis driven approach with a workflow that includes the use of LC-MS2 analysis carried out on extracted metabolites run in both positive and negative modes using high resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS). The data is then searched using databases of known metabolites with known masses, retention times, and fragmentation patterns. Once metabolites are matched with high confidence, peak intensities are then measured and normalized across each run, these lists are then compared across groups using the appropriate statistical analysis, which is then followed by systems/ pathway analysis. In many cases, once a handful of differential metabolites are found to be of interest, verifications/ validations can be carried out with a relative or absolute quantitative analysis using a specific and fine-tuned “Targeted Small Molecule/ Metabolite” LC-MS2 approach.
